What they say about Les Decadents:

"They’re fab!" - Tracy, hairdresser from Luton
"Wow!"- Brian, accountant from Stoke Newington
"I like the young one with the wavy hair!" - Linda, bank clerk from Dudley
"The thing is, the driving beat has like an insidious effect on the subconscious causing listeners to sort of, well, completely disregard social conventions and really shake their hips!" - John, philosophy student at York University
"I want more!" - overheard on the 59 bus to Kings Cross
"These boys certainly know how to party!" - Oscar Wilde, decadent
"It is not the young people that degenerate; they are not spoiled till those of mature age are already sunk into corruption." - Charles de Montesquieu, philosopher and statesman

Les Decadents are:

Mr K – lead vocals and tight trousers – ran away from home chasing Bristol Cities when he was still a young boy and never looked back. His favourite dish is black pudding with bashed neeps.

Sister Chain – lead vocals and Go-Go dancing – as a child, she used to help her mother in the kitchen. She wants to settle down in the country and have 10 children, an offshore bank account and a private helicopter

Matt de Harp – vocals, guitar, harmonica and sideburns – travelled extensively around Europe collecting sunglasses and making the local girls uneasy. His ambition is to grow his sideburns down to his shoulders.

The Brink – lead guitar, vocals and spiv suits - hails from an obscure country somewhere in the East and fled as far as he could to seek his fortune. He enjoys watching television.

C U Jimmy – bass and moptop – doesn’t like to talk much unless someone asks him about something that really interests him. In his spare time, he likes to style his hair.

Le Monsieur – drums and irresistable French accent - turned his back on the capital of culture for the capital of cool, where he pursues his interests in old chestnuts and fighting cocks. His favourite colour is pink.

Phil Cool – keys and black nylon poloneck shirt – gave up his management position, credit cards and penthouse flat to become famous. He hopes to get old before he dies.
